AI-powered collective boiler room energy management solution for social housing landlords

For social housing providers, energy management has become a key challenge, cutting heating costs while keeping residents comfortable.

A 360° approach to maximising energy performance

Since 2018, KOCLIKO has transformed the way heating costs are individually metered (HCA), helping the social housing sector meet the requirements introduced by France’s ELAN Law. Far more than a compliance tool, our solution is a strategic lever for boosting energy performance in collectively heated buildings.

Built on a scalable, interoperable IoT infrastructure, our technology continuously optimises heat management and turns raw data into actionable insights, anticipating demand, cutting consumption and improving comfort for residents. A holistic approach that transforms individual heat metering from an obligation into a genuine energy and cost-saving opportunity.

Social housing providers say it best

“With KOCLIKO, we’ve moved from a reactive approach to an anticipatory one. We can closely track temperature and humidity in every home, balance our networks more effectively, and target our renovation work. But above all, we’re giving our tenants the power to act: they monitor their consumption in real time, understand the impact of their everyday habits, and are fully engaged in the process. It’s a technical advance that serves fairer comfort for all.”

Nathanaël Goossens – OPAC de l’Oise

“With KOCLIKO, a regulatory constraint becomes a real opportunity: we have detailed comfort monitoring in every home, a solid basis for optimising our settings… and invaluable support for backing up complaints with hard data and easing tensions with tenants.”

Yves Galiègue – Grand Bourg Habitat

“KOCLIKO gives us the data and the tools to apply a rigorous continuous-improvement approach to managing our energy policy.”

Cyril Poirot – OPHEOR

“We appreciated KOCLIKO’s innovative approach to the complex issue of individualising heating charges, for which we currently have no satisfactory solution.”

“What really appealed to me was the fair cost allocation based on each home’s temperature, and the service that lets tenants track their own consumption.”

Benjamin Deroch – Logis Méditérranée

“Mâcon Habitat chose the KOCLIKO solution because it offers a twofold benefit for us as a housing manager and landlord.

On one hand, optimising the way our collective heating systems run; on the other, giving our tenants the freedom to manage their indoor comfort and energy costs however they choose.”

Gilles Garnier – Mâcon habitat

“Frequently asked questions from social housing providers.”

What devices are installed in my home?
Radiators can be fitted with thermostatic valves, and temperature sensors are installed to measure comfort levels in each home (on average 2 sensors per home, depending on its size).
Is individualization mandatory?
Yes, individual metering of heating costs is mandatory for all buildings whose heating consumption exceeds 80 kWh per m² per year.
How are heating costs calculated?
70% of the heating bill is individualised based on the per-home metering system. The remaining 30% covers the building’s communal areas. All these calculations are carried out within the platform.
What is the deployment duration?

2 to 3 months are required to equip the dwellings and provide access to the web platform for your internal teams and tenants.

What does Kocliko offer regarding operational monitoring?
The temperature sensors installed in the dwellings as part of the individualization of heating costs and the STD model we create provide access to data, alerts, and reports related to building comfort: regulation, balancing, heat requirements, etc.
Is the solution legally enforceable?
Our innovation has been certified by the National Metrology and Testing Laboratory and by Legal Metrology.
What aid or subsidies can I claim?

Several Energy Savings Certificates (CEE) can be mobilized. Depending on your project, this can represent €100 per dwelling.
